University Rebrand

With help from: Sara Goldsmith (Creative Director), Miklas Mennake (Associate Creative Director), Claire O’Neill (Associate Copywriter), Matty Poitras (Creative Director)


These two sister universities were looking to update their look to match their innovative online courses.

LOGOS

OVERVIEW

The name Capella University comes from the brightest star in the constellation, Auriga.
We wanted to keep this guiding element throughout the whole brand.

Capella University has a focus on older, more professional students with pops of red and white and purposeful natural light in each image, symbolizing the Capella star.

Strayer University is on the cutting edge of education technology so we created a sleeker look by taking out the year they were founded and making the pillar larger flipping the negative space.

Strayer University focuses on younger, more active students. Each photo has the model in mid-activity, rarely facing the camera. Cyan and yellow tones are showcased in their photography as well as dark shadows.
